Dawson’s Creek fans are rejoicing over Joshua Jackson and Katie Holmes’ joint project, Happy Hours.
The duo, who starred together on the teen drama from 1998 to 2003 as Pacey Witter (Jackson) and Joey Potter (Holmes), reunited in July 2025 to begin filming Happy Hours, an upcoming film trilogy.
Jackson and Holmes were seen laughing, smiling and pushing a baby stroller in photos from the set of the project in New York City. In one photo, Jackson put his arm around Holmes and kissed her on the forehead just as his character did in Dawson’s Creek — a moment that has Us swooning.

Fans Thrilled After Katie Holmes and Joshua Jackson Reunite
There’s been tons of buzz from fans who cannot wait to see Jackson and Holmes make magic on screen again. Many drew comparisons to the epic love story between their Dawson’s Creek characters (who ended up together on the TV show) and felt nostalgic.
“If this is a Dawson’s Creek reboot after 23 years I’m here for it! And let’s make it right this time and call it Pacey’s Creek,” one X user wrote after photos of Holmes and Jackson reuniting went viral.
“This is 20 years in the making… we finally get to see the adult story of Joey & Pacey ❤️,” a second person said.
“They need to bring back Dawson’s Creek…..Pacey and Joey as the parents of Capeside teenagers, not letting them get away with anything,” a third person echoed.
Luckily, it seems like a potential Dawson’s Creek reboot isn’t so far-fetched.
“We’re really trying to figure something out, but there are a couple of people who have some work things that cannot be moved,” star Busy Philipps, who played Audrey Liddell in the college years, told Us Weekly in March 2025. “It’s like playing chess, trying to get everybody’s schedules to align. I’m very hopeful that at some point we will.”
