One Aaron is out, another Aaron is in.
Following the tumultuous two-year Aaron Rodgers era, Aaron Glenn is stepping in to try and right the New York Jets‘ ship.
“I know what it’s like to be a Jet,” Glenn said. “I know the pain and all the things the fans have been through. I might have been gone from here, but I was never gone in spirit, so I get it. That sticks with me a ton. I understand the pain. I’m hoping, I’m praying, I expect to make the pain go away. I think about that every day.”
Thankfully, the first-time head coach (and former Jet from 1994-2001) has a lot of talent on hand to help him this season.
Leading the way in 2025 is new starting quarterback Justin Fields who had a mixed bag of a preseason, only taking nine snaps. Come opening day against the Steelers on Sunday, Sept. 7, his former team and current Rodgers squad, he’ll likely get more action.
Joining the 26-year-old signal caller on offense are running backs Breece Hall, Braelon Allen and Isaiah Davis and wideouts Garrett Wilson, Josh Reynolds and Arian Smith while Allen Lazard nurses an injury.
On the defensive end, perennial stars Sauce Gardner and Quinnen Williams return. Recent acquisitions cornerback Brandon Stephens and safety Andre Cisco should offer some insurance as well.
If you want to be there to see Gang Green IRL at MetLife Stadium, tickets are available for all eight home games including biggies against the Bills (Sept. 14), Cowboys (Oct. 5) and Patriots (Dec. 28).
