If the bookies are to be believed, Sunday’s Game 7 between the Rockets and Golden State Warriors in Houston should be a classic.

The Rockets are 2.5-point favorites over the Warriors at bet365 sportsbook, with the moneyline sitting at -140/+120 in favor of Houston.

At -140, the Rockets own an implied win probability of 58.3 percent.

That represents a sizable flip from the series-opening odds, which had Golden State sitting as a -175 favorite even though the Warriors were the worse seed in this 2 vs. 7 matchup.

The Over/Under for Game 7 is currently sitting at 203.5 points.

Warriors vs. Rockets Game 7 odds

Team Moneyline Spread
Warriors +120 +2.5
Rockets -140 -2.5

Houston trailed in the series, 3-1, after four games, but erased that deficit with back-to-back wins by a combined 23 points.

One interesting note about this tight spread is that only one game through the first six has been close. Game 5 finished 109-106 in favor of the Warriors and was the only contest that was decided by less than eight points.

Four of the six games in the best-of-7 were decided by double digits, which tells you there could be some value in betting on some alternate spreads on Sunday night.

Bettors tend to lean into the narrative that a Game 7 must be tight, which often puts value on going the other way and backing it to devolve into a rout.

The winner of this series will take on the sixth-seeded Minnesota Timberwolves in Round 2.
