It was an interesting moment to squeeze in a serious story.

With the Bills leading 28-21 in the fourth quarter, the Prime Video broadcast dove into Tyreek Hill’s arrest sheet while giving an update on the latest allegations of domestic violence against him.

“The NFL is investigating accusations of domestic violence against Tyreek Hill,” sideline reporter Kaylee Hartung said on the broadcast.

“In filings made earlier this month related to his divorce, Hill’s ex-wife alleges he was violent with her on eight separate occasions dating back to January 2024. He’s denied this and has not been charged criminally. In 2015, Hill pleaded guilty to domestic violence charges stemming from his time at Oklahoma State, guys.”

“Thank you, Kaylee. He’s no stranger to off-the-field stuff,” Al Michaels replied before the broadcast went back to the game action.

While bringing up Hill’s legal issues is a notable storyline around the Dolphins, some questioned the decision to discuss it during the most important time of the game.

“I think it was in poor taste and took away from the game,” one user wrote on X. “Especially considering at this point they are just allegations. But at the same time, Hill always seems to have drama so he brings it on himself.”

Another characterized the decision as “odd.”

After the investigation announcement last week, Hill said his focus was on “playing ball.”

Hill had a solid performance in the Dolphins’ 31-21 loss to the Bills, going for 49 yards and a touchdown on five catches.

Keeta Vaccaro and Hill were married in November 2023, but Vaccaro filed for divorce 17 months later.

Divorce proceedings are ongoing, and the two currently share custody of their young daughter.

Hll has denied these accusations of domestic violence, with his representatives saying they are “unsubstantiated, untrue.”

Hill still faces the potential of a suspension by the NFL as the league conducts its own investigation, which includes plans to speak to Vaccaro’s lawyer.

After the game, Hill spoke highly of Mike McDaniel as the Dolphins coach fights to keep his job amid the winless start.

“His piss was hot,” Hill said of McDaniel. “The way he coached and the way he led men today was a beautiful thing.”

The Dolphins have a 10-day break as they prepare for the Jets in Week 4.

Both teams are winless at the moment, with the Jets taking on the Buccaneers on Sunday.
