Miami Dolphins quarterback Tua Tagovailoa turned 28 on Monday, and rang in his birthday on a boat with his wife Annah, as seen in a photo she posted to her Instagram Story.

The couple were all smiles while posing together in front of a stunning sunset and palm trees while on the water as an impending divorce with the Dolphins looms.

“I love you more than you could ever know,” Annah captioned her post, including a kissing face emoji.

The quarterback and Annah, who are very private about their personal life, married on July 17, 2022, and have a son and a daughter.

The Dolphins did not acknowledge Tagovailoa’s birthday publicly on social media, which some believe is indicative that he has played his last game for Miami.

Tagovailoa is coming off a tumultuous 2025 season.

He recorded 2,660 yards, 20 touchdowns and a career-high 15 interceptions while leading the team to a 6-8 record before getting benched for rookie Quinn Ewers.

Tagovailoa also issued an apology for calling out this teammates and airing the team’s dirty laundry last October.

Miami seems to be ready to move on from the quarterback — whom they selected fifth overall out of Alabama in the 2020 NFL Draft — but his contract could be an issue, making a post-June 1 cut a safer option.

Tagovailoa is guaranteed $54 million in 2026, and $3 million of his 2027 salary becomes guaranteed on March 15, per ESPN.

During an appearance on “The Rich Eisen Show” last week, Dolphins new general manager Jon-Eric Sullivan said “everything’s on the table with Tua” while discussing what’s next at the quarterback position.

“My job is to make this as compeititve of a room as I can,” Sullivan said.
