He’s got big hair, big fins — and a mouth to match.
“Trumpy Trout” is the latest, and strangest, must-have political gewgaw, an animatronic talking fishface that spouts off funny phrases with a distinctly Trumpian flavor.
“I’m building a new pond and the bass will pay for it,” Trumpy Trout says as his plastic fins flap back and forth.
“My fins are big. I have the biggest fins. No fish have fins like me,” the $59.99 gag gift continues.
“Some bass are bad fish, crazy fish, criminal fish, and druggy fish, but some bass are good fish and I only love some of them.”

“You can try to catch me but it’s hard, it’s really hard. I don’t eat just any worms. They have to be the great ones that are shiny and nice. Only the great ones I plan to eat.”
Trumpy Trout creator Michael Casey said he took inspiration from Big Mouth Billy Bass, the animatronic bass which belted out popular hits while it swished and swayed — and was such a sensation in the late 1990s and early 2000s, Queen Elizabeth II reportedly kept one on a grand piano at Balmoral Castle.
Casey, 62, a longtime inventor and entrepreneur, mostly makes fitness products, like the Ab Roller Plus, but told The Post he saw an opening in the Trump animatronic fish market.
“I had a group of guys who were distributors for Billy Bass and I was thinking it was maybe time to bring that back, but this time do it with Trump,” Casey said. “I made sure he said things along what [Trump] says — but in fish terms.”

A Bidey Bass “which falls asleep and snores” was also in the works before President Biden dropped out of the 2024 presidential race. A Kamala Crab concept was abandoned due to fear of lawsuits.
The inventor, a rock-solid Trump supporter who lives in Palm Beach, Fla. said the product is intended as a homage to the former president, and that people on his team “said they thought it was really hilarious.”
Casey said sales of Trumpy Trout have been brisk, but refused to divulge numbers.
