President Trump has threatened to launch a criminal probe into “sloppy” ex-New Jersey Governor Chris Christie and the 2013 “Bridgegate” scandal.

Trump hinted at investigating his former ally-turned-foe for “criminal acts” after Christie suggested the president doesn’t care about separating himself from federal probes — just days after former National Security Adviser John Bolton was targeted in an FBI raid.

“I just watched Sloppy Chris Christie be interviewed on a ratings challenged ‘News’ Show, ‘This Week With George Slopadopolus,’ on ABC Fake News,” Trump wrote on Truth Social late Sunday.

“Can anyone believe anything that Sloppy Chris says? Do you remember the way he lied about the dangerous and deadly closure of the George Washington Bridge in order to stay out of prison, at the same time sacrificing people who worked for him, including a young mother, who spent years trying to fight off the vicious charges against her,” Trump raged on Truth Social late Sunday.

“Chris refused to take responsibility for these criminal acts. For the sake of JUSTICE, perhaps we should start looking at that very serious situation again?

NO ONE IS ABOVE THE LAW!” Trump wrote — the same words his FBI director, Kash Patel, said after Bolton was raided Friday.

Christie, a Republican, has long denied any involvement in the “Bridgegate” scandal, which saw local residents infamously plagued by days of lengthy delays.

However, two of his associates were convicted over a scheme to shut off access to the George Washington Bridge to punish Fort Lee’s Democratic mayor, who’d refused to back Christie’s reelection bid in 2013.

The Supreme Court ended up tossing the convictions for the two aides in 2020, ruling that the saga didn’t violate federal law — despite involving deception and corruption.

Trump’s threat to probe Christie over the scandal comes after federal agents raided Bolton’s Maryland home and DC office early Friday in search of evidence in their case investigating the Trump critic’s alleged theft of “highly sensitive national security documents.”

The former National Security Adviser is one of the most prominent ex-Trump officials who has regularly slammed his former boss in media appearances.
