President Trump bizarrely gave Zohran Mamdani cover with the press when pushed if he was walking back his attack on the president, calling him a “fascist.”
“I’ve spoken about…” Mamdani started to answer before Trump interjected.
“That’s ok,” Trump said, appearing to give him the OK to stand by his statements.
“You can just say yes. It’s easier than explaining,” the president added.
The Oval Office love-fest between the two pols comes after months of vitriolic attacks on each other.
