Travis Kelce opened up about his engagement to Taylor Swift for the first time since the couple announced the news.

The Kansas City Chiefs tight end, 35, reflected on his proposal to the pop star, also 35, during the Wednesday, September 3, episode of his and brother Jason Kelce’s “New Heights” podcast, revealing that he still feels “giddy” about calling Swift his fiancée.

When asked whether he had any advice to share for fans planning the perfect proposals, Travis kept his answer short and sweet.

“Man, you gotta know your gal. Or your significant other. You can’t let how somebody else does it make you feel like you need to do it that way. … You might be able to get some ideas from how other people did it, might get the creative juices flowing,” he explained. “I would just say know your partner, know who you’re doing it for and do it for the right reasons, baby.”

Travis later hinted that wedding planning is about to “go crazy” but admitted that he hasn’t thought about his bachelor party for “one second.” He went on to thank listeners for their support before Jason, 37, celebrated the pair’s milestone.

“Congratulations again, Trav. Very happy for you and Tay, can’t wait to see what the future holds for both of you,” Jason said.

One week earlier, Travis and Swift confirmed their engagement after two years of dating.

“Your English teacher and your gym teacher are getting married 🧨,” the pair captioned a joint Instagram post on August 26.

The accompanying photos offered a glimpse of the proposal as Travis got down on one knee in a flower-filled garden. Swift also showed off her stunning old mine brilliant cut diamond ring designed by Kindred Lubbock at Artifex Fine Jewelry.

While last week’s “New Heights” episode came out the day after the engagement news, it was recorded before the public announcement. However, Jason opened the show with a special message for the betrothed.

“We felt necessary — as in a team here at ‘New Heights’ — to get together and send Travis and Taylor a giant congratulations for being engaged!” he shouted. “The proposal heard ’round the world!”

Prior to Travis detailing the engagement on the podcast, his dad, Ed Kelce, revealed some details about how the NFL star popped the question.

“Travis actually did the proposal, oh, maybe two weeks, not quite two weeks ago,” Ed told News 5 Cleveland on August 26. “He was going to put it off till this week … but he was going to put her off till this week to, you know, make some grand thing, to make it a big, special event.”

He added: “And I told him repeatedly, you know, you could do it on the side of the road, do it any place that makes it a special event … when you get down on one knee and ask her to marry you.”

Ed also divulged that Travis proposed in the garden outside his Missouri home.

“He got her out there, they were about to go out to dinner, and he said, ‘Let’s go out and have a glass of wine.’ … They got out there, and that’s when he asked her, and it was beautiful,” he explained. “They started FaceTiming me and their mother and her folks to make sure everybody knew. So, to see them together is great.”
