There were two new starting quarterbacks in Columbus, Ohio, on Saturday afternoon. 

One of them was poised, patient and made big throws when opportunities presented themselves. 

It just wasn’t the quarterback everyone expected it to be. 

No, it was not Arch Manning. Redshirt freshman Julian Sayin was the other quarterback in the Texas-Ohio State megashowdown that kicked off the college football season. He also outplayed Manning. With major help from his defense, he led the defending champion and No. 3 Buckeyes to an impressive 14-7 victory in this Week 1 blockbuster.
