You knew this was a little bit of a different Jets practice when Alijah Vera-Tucker began running a fade route as a backup quarterback lofted him a pass.
This was the final day of Jets minicamp Thursday, the final practice of the spring, essentially the last day of school for the Jets players.
Jets coach Aaron Glenn marked the occasion like any good teacher would at the end of the school year — he eased up. He gave the Jets players a light practice that did not last an hour. Offensive linemen went out for passes. Wide receivers got to practice double passes. It was a different side of Glenn than the taskmaster he has shown, but it was another sign that he gets it.
“I know when enough is enough,” Glenn said. “I know when to push. I know when to hold back. I do know when it’s time to have a little fun.”
