The Valley alum Aaron Nosler poked fun at his recent split from Michelle Saniei in celebration of National Ex-Girlfriend Day.

Aaron, 38, initially shared a humorous meme to commemorate the unique holiday on Saturday, August 2, before dropping a shirtless selfie with a tongue-in-cheek caption.

“Staying strong ain’t easy,” he wrote via Instagram.

Aaron joined The Valley as a ‘friend of the cast’ for its second season, as the Bravo show focused on his budding relationship with Michelle, 36, in the wake of her recent split from estranged husband Jesse Lally. (Michelle and Jesse — who share daughter Isabella Bunny — were part of the original season 1 cast of The Valley in 2024 and returned for season 2, which premiered in April 2025.)

Us Weekly exclusively confirmed on July 24 that Aaron and Michelle had ended their year-long relationship. Multiple sources revealed to Us that Michelle was in the process of moving out of Aaron’s home and was “focusing on her daughter, work, and taking care of herself as she navigates this new chapter in her life.”

Following the split, fans resurfaced comments from a recent Valley episode where Aaron appeared to give Michelle an ultimatum about her messy divorce from Jesse.

“Aaron had this conversation with me, like, ‘I love you, I love Isabella. Like, I want us to one day be a family, but I can’t deal with a crazy ex-husband like that,’” Michelle explained to Scheana Shay in a May 20 episode of The Valley. “He said, ‘If nothing changes, like, I think it’s better if we’re not together.’”

Michelle’s first two seasons on The Valley were tumultuous. Us broke the news weeks before The Valley’s season 1 premiere in early 2024 that Michelle and estranged husband Jesse had split. The Bravo series has since documented their attempts to navigate their divorce but it has been tense at times.

Michelle revealed on the “Pursuit of Sassiness” podcast in April that it could take a few years before the divorce was finalized.

“It’s a struggle. I just [always] say you need to have two people who have the same mindset that just want to move forward in life,” Michelle explained. “If one person can’t do that, then it just ultimately makes the divorce process brutal.”

The Valley star mentioned that resistance on either side only makes the legal process “longer,” adding: “I’m very black and white and unfortunately, he’s not. So I think it’s going to take a couple of years to get divorced.”

“I actually have a lawyer. He does not, which makes it even harder at times,” she noted. “Because he thinks that he knows the law — but that’s a whole other conversation.”

Bravo fans will likely get to see Michelle’s divorce battle and her recent split from Aaron continue to play out on screens, as The Valley is gearing up to film season 3 this summer.

The Valley airs on Bravo Tuesdays at 9 p.m. ET. Stream old episodes anytime on Peacock.
