The way the strength of an NFL schedule is determined is to rate the opponents on the schedule by how they fared the previous season.
This is standard operating procedure. With that list of opponents clear, we may think we know how a certain team will do in the upcoming season, but no one can be sure. We do know how they did the year prior. It is all right there for us to see.
Based on their opponents’ final win-loss records in the 2024 season, the Giants have the most difficult schedule in the NFL in 2025. Their opponents had a combined winning percentage of .574 in 2024.
If that seems high, that is because it is. Extremely high. The Giants have the most difficult strength of schedule entering a season of any NFL team in the past eight years.
