Time has been on model Ashley Graham’s mind lately.
There never seems to be enough of it as a working mom — raising sons Isaac, 5, and twins Malachi and Roman, 3, in New Jersey with her husband, cinematographer Justin Ervin.
“I certainly can’t sleep in, take long showers or do elaborate makeup routines anymore,” Graham, 37, tells Alexa. “I had to learn how to adapt my schedule for my family — and it’s been so worth it! But the kids are growing up so fast that I’d love to freeze time, so I could really cherish these moments with them.”
As a face for brands like Omega, Revlon and Stuart Weitzman, style has become the native Nebraskan’s passion, especially when it comes to body positivity (Graham made history in 2016 as the first size 14 model to land the cover of Sports Illustrated Swimsuit.
“A lot of ‘plus-size’ clothing just doesn’t cut it,” says Graham, which is why she launched her namesake collection with JCPenney this month, ranging in sizes from 0X to 5X. “I want curvy women to feel sexy, fashionable and just good in these clothes. It’s important to me to have great pieces that accentuate women’s curves, not hide them!”
