Summer House star West Wilson has apparently been getting closer to Brianna “Chickenfry” LaPaglia over Super Bowl Weekend.
“I’m not dating her. We’re hanging out,” Wilson, 28, told reporter Adam Glyn at a pre-Super Bowl party on Saturday, February 8. “I think we made out last night, so, it’s cool [and] it’s good.”
LaPaglia, 25, meanwhile downplayed the rumored connection while attending Sports Illustrated’s Super Bowl bash.
“Who? What?” LaPaglia quipped to Page Six on Saturday, later denying that she’s even “thought” about dating right now. “I’ve been thinking about Super Bowl. I’ve been thinking about who’s gonna win the game [and] placing my bets. I haven’t had time to think about West.”
The Barstool Sports personality has been single since October 2024 when country singer Zach Bryan revealed via social media that the pair split after more than one year of dating. LaPaglia later claimed that she was “blindsided” by Bryan’s statement before ultimately moving on.
“I’m doing well,” she exclusively told Us Weekly at the Golden Globes in January. “I feel like myself again.”
At the time, LaPaglia reiterated to Us that she wasn’t ready to dive back into the dating scene.
“Dating looks like a dark hole that I don’t want to jump into,” she quipped. “[My podcast cohost Josh Richards and I] made a bet. … I’m not allowed to have a boyfriend until summer. June 21st. He doesn’t think I can do it. I think I can do it. No boyfriends.”
While LaPaglia isn’t presently searching for The One, she would hope that a future partner has “height, hair [and] kindness.”
Wilson, for his part, last dated Summer House costar Ciara Miller during season 8 until his fear of commitment got in his head.
“This is going to sound like a s—ty excuse,” he said on a June 2024 episode of “The Viall Files” podcast. “Everything’s been straightforward [for my parents]. I’ve been fired, laid off, moved, f—ing done on a TV show. I’ve made massive life decisions only with my interest and not needing to put someone’s interests in play. [I didn’t] need to compromise.”
He added, “I think we’re both committed to going separate ways. I’m going to be myself, and however that interaction goes, I will be respectful. Whatever her boundaries are, I’ll do that.”
Miller, 29, later told Us Weekly in November 2024 that she and Wilson are merely “coexisting” without being friends.
“Right now I’m not looking for anything,” Miller said. “I think that like I’m focused on myself and my own career and my job and [my cat] Jasper and like if someone catches my attention and is emotionally intelligent and available and worth a damn, then maybe I’ll give them a shot.”
