No one on the Mets had his playing time slashed as much due to the arrival of Juan Soto, but Starling Marte is the teammate the $765 million free agent signing credits the most with helping him acclimate to his new Flushing surroundings.

“Marte is a veteran player, and a great teammate, a great dude,” Soto told The Post before Wednesday’s game against the Nationals. “He’s one of the guys I have talked to the most, probably the most. He’s been teaching me the Mets way and how to settle in. And it has meant a lot to me.

“I can’t tell you what he’s been telling me, but he’s definitely helped me a lot to settle in with the clubhouse and how everything works in here.”

Marte, who was not in the starting lineup Wednesday night, at least helped Soto have fun with the Mets tradition of posing for photos in the dugout following home runs.
