Swedish soccer star Viktor Gyokeres seems to be working his way through two breakups.

The disgruntled Sporting CP forward, who has drawn interest from Arsenal and Manchester United in the transfer market as he looks to split from his current club, is reported to have broken up with Portuguese girlfriend Ines Aguiar as he looks to leave ties to Portugal behind.

“Viktor doesn’t want anything to tie him to Portugal, especially because he has already decided that he won’t continue at Sporting next season,” a source recently relayed to Portuguese outlet TV Guia.

First linked in 2024, speculation that Gyokeres and Aguiar potentially parted ways swirled when she did not join him for teammate Morten Hjulmand’s wedding, according to The Sun.

Aguiar is said to be friendly with Hjulmand’s bride, Emilie Sofie Nissen.

From there, Gyokeres ventured to Mykonos as Aguiar jetted to Formentera, Spain, per the report.

Gyokeres has spent much of the summer connected to the Premier League after scoring 97 goals across two seasons.

Last month, club president Frederico Varandas said Sporting “has not received an offer” for Gyokeres, who is under contract until 2028 and has a release clause of $115.5 million.

Amid reported discord over the final number for his release clause, Gyokeres took to social media and said, “There is a lot of talk at the moment, most of it is false. I will speak when the time is right.”

Varandas expanded on the star’s future with the club this past weekend, stating, “If you ask me today, there is a strong possibility that Viktor will leave.”

Gyokeres joined Sporting CP in 2023 on a five-year contract after playing for Coventry City for three seasons beginning in 2021.

He scored 39 goals in the 2024-25 season with nine assists.
