Mikayla Matthews and her husband, Jace Terry, are officially parents of four.

The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives star, 25, gave birth to her and Jace’s fourth baby on Thursday, July 17, marking the arrival via a 30-second TikTok video shared on Sunday, July 20.

“Been soaking in the last couple days with our perfect baby girl🤍 I can’t wait to share all the details with you guys🥹 @Jace Terry,” Mikayla captioned the black-and-white video, which showed the bundle of joy sleeping on her mom’s chest, being gently rocked in Jace’s arms and cuddled by her older siblings.

Mikayla also shared a carousel of photos via her Instagram account on Sunday, which captured the “perfect baby girl” in her parent’s loving arms.

The couple, who tied the knot in 2018, previously welcomed son Beckham in July 2017 and daughters Haven and Tommie in August 2019 and November 2021, respectively.

Mikayla revealed her pregnancy with baby No. 4 in February. “Thought I’d finally announce the next step on my healing journey 🤍,” she wrote via Instagram alongside family photos that showed off her growing baby bump and sonogram images. “Can’t wait to love on this baby 👶🏼🥹.”

In an interview with People at the time, Mikayla shared more details about her impending arrival.

“It was definitely a surprise! We were not planning or trying. I miss my period a lot with my health issues, so for me it’s normal to sometimes be off track. Then a month and a half went by and I was telling my friends, like, ‘Maybe I should take a test,’” she recalled. “I wasn’t having any symptoms, which made me think I wasn’t pregnant because I usually get symptoms very early, like, two or three weeks in. Then I take the test and it was instantly positive.”

Mikayla, who suffers from chronic illness but has yet to share a specific diagnosis, thought her condition could impair her ability to conceive.

“With my health stuff, I didn’t think I could get pregnant right now,” she continued. “My husband was with me when I took the test. He never really has much of a reaction to anything, but we were both pretty in shock. Then it set in and we got really excited. We’re definitely excited, nervous about my health and possibly passing anything on, but excited.”

While Mikayla acknowledged that becoming a family of six was “so wild” to her, she hinted that more children could be in her and Jace’s future.

“I’m surrounded by Mormon culture still and my husband’s siblings all have so many kids,” she explained. “They’re like, ‘Once you hit three kids, you can have 10 kids.’ That’s kind of the mindset I have. When people ask me how many kids I want, I’m like, ‘I’ve always wanted three or four, but I could see myself having six.’”

Three months later, Mikayla and Jace announced via a May Instagram video that they were expecting a baby girl, placing champagne glasses upside down in a cake to expose its pink interior. She then prompted her three kids to bite into cake pops, which also had pink on the inside.

As for the story line making its way to The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives, Mikayla’s pregnancy was revealed to the group in a controversial game of pregnancy test roulette during a season 2 episode that aired in May.
