Scottie Scheffler’s fourth career major victory resulted in an adorable moment between the world’s No.1 golfer and his 14-month-old son.

Minutes after Scheffler completed his first British Open championship with a four-stroke win Sunday at Royal Portrush Golf Club in Northern Ireland, his son Bennett attempted to join his father on the green.

Bennett Scheffler, who was born in May 2024, fell multiple times while attempting to ascend the steep slope to the green.

After the toddler was helped to his feet by a tournament official, Scottie Scheffler met him halfway up the hill and lifted him up to roars from the crowd.

More cheers followed when dad placed Bennett alongside the legendary Open trophy, the Claret Jug.

Scottie Scheffler also won the PGA Championship earlier this year after he’d captured the Masters title in 2022 and 2024.

He will have his first chance to complete the career Grand Slam at the U.S. Open at Shinnecock Hills in Southampton in June 2026.
