Katie Maloney might not be discussing the rumors that she’s dating Sleeping With Sirens guitarist Nick Martin — but Scheana Shay gave Vanderpump Rules fans the scoop.

“I actually met him this weekend. We were all by the artist trailers in the hangout area, and he and Katie were walking up while I was standing at the taco truck in line getting food. I said hi to her,” Shay, 39, recalled on the Friday, October 25, episode of her “Scheananigans” podcast. “She introduced me to her boyfriend.”

Shay noted that not all Bravo viewers were thrilled with the pairing, adding, “There’s been some things online recently. I’ve seen little bits and pieces. But let me tell you, he could not have been nicer.”

While at the same event, Shay got to know Martin, 41, a bit more.

“He’s from San Diego and we just talked about that. Then I ran into them again later back at the hotel at the end of the night, and was just such a sweet guy. I caught the end of their set,” she continued. “We actually left Fall Out Boy a little early because they were playing at the same time. But I wanted to check out Sleeping with Sirens. I wanted to see what the band was all about. They were really good.”

Shay was thrilled that she got to meet the new guy in Maloney’s life, saying, “It was fun. I was glad I got to see her, meet him, see the band and overall it was a very fun weekend.”

Maloney, 37, surprised fans when she revealed earlier this month that she is seeing someone. “I have a boyfriend,” she shared on the October 16 episode of her and Dayna Kathan’s “Disrespectfully” podcast. “Yeah, I’m in love, everybody. I’m really happy.”

Despite discussing their relationship, Maloney chose not to name the mystery man.

“This weekend, I went to go see my boyfriend. He has to travel for work, so I went to go meet up with him and hang out with him and spend some time,” she said. “It was really amazing ’cause I hadn’t seen him in a few weeks and just being able to, like, spend some quality time and just be around him was really necessary and really nice.”

She added: “He’s the most wonderful person I’ve ever met. He’s very lovely and he just makes me feel really special and he’s really special and, yeah, I’m just really happy.”

Before finding love with Martin, Us Weekly broke the news about Maloney’s outing with Love Island USA‘s Connor Newsum. A source told Us in July that the pair were seen at Laurel Tavern in Studio City, California.

Maloney’s only other public romance — after her 2022 divorce from Vanderpump Rules costar Tom Schwartz — was a brief hookup with Max Boyens a.k.a Schwartz’s best friend and Dayna’s ex-boyfriend. Maloney has been outspoken about how she was looking for something different after a tumultuous marriage to Schwartz, 42.

“I never felt prioritized. He didn’t really have my back or defend me or make me feel supported or heard. I just wanted that validation from him. So I made myself smaller in ways. I lost myself. I was a shell of a woman,” Maloney said during the September 2023 episode of the “Almost Adulting” podcast, which came one year after her divorce was finalized. “It took me working on myself in general — not really because of all of that — but I wasn’t feeling great in my body and in general. I wanted to boost my own confidence and just started working on myself.”

At the time, Maloney made it clear she had no regrets about her decision.

“I was not asking for the world. I was asking for somebody to show up for me and they couldn’t. Over and over and over again. It just became a voice that became louder and louder and I couldn’t deny it anymore,” she added. “It was over months — a period of months — and I just got to a point where I was like I need to get real with myself and real with him. I kind of just knew it. I became emotionally withdrawn. I still loved him but the love between us — that connection — that romance was not there anymore.”
