Savannah James is having fun with jokes about her husband, LeBron James, and their son, Bronny, being teammates on the Lakers.

Bronny, a 6-foot-2 guard out of USC, was selected by the Lakers with the No. 55 overall pick in the second round of the 2024 NBA Draft on Thursday — which will almost assuredly make the 19-year-old rookie and 39-year-old James the first father-son duo to play together in the NBA.

Taking to her Instagram Story, the James family matriarch reposted a now-viral meme by Barstool Sports’ Steven Cheah that read: “It’s been discovered that LeBron James is sleeping with his newest teammate’s mom.”

Savannah added a blushing face emoji and a crying-laughing emoji.

The internet had a field day after Bronny went off the board in Thursday’s draft.

The James family took in the draft with a small group of friends at a private location in New York.

Savannah, who was seen crying, handed Bronny a Lakers hat when his named was called, as seen in a video on social media.

James, the NBA’s all-time leading scorer, and the couple’s son Bryce and daughter Zhuri, were seen standing behind him clapping and cheering.

Bronny also appeared emotional when his dream of being in the NBA came true.

Savannah reposted a bunch of photos that showed Bronny on the court as a kid with James during the NBA superstar’s Cavaliers days and included teary-eyed emojis.

Taking to his Instagram Story, James reposted a meme of him and his oldest son wearing Lakers uniforms together.

The four-time NBA champ has until Saturday to opt into the final year of his Lakers contract or become a free agent.

James — who will turn 40 in December — signed a two-year, $97.1 million contract extension with the Lakers in September 2022, which includes a player option for 2024-25 worth $51.4 million.

James played coy about his playing future after the Lakers were sent into the offseason by the Nuggets for the second consecutive season this past April.

“I don’t have an answer … to be honest,” he said when asked about returning for Year 22 in the NBA. “I haven’t given it much thought.”

James explained he would meet with agent, Rich Paul, and his family to evaluate “what’s best for my career” at some point.

“We’ll cross that when we need to,” he added.

Fans will see Bronny suit up for the Lakers during NBA Summer League, which kicks off July 8 in Las Vegas.

Lakers legend Magic Johnson said, “Watching Bronny suit up for the @Lakers during Summer League in Vegas will be must-see TV” in a post on X.
