Sutton Stracke is giving fans more insight into what she claims went down between her and her former The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills costar, Garcelle Beauvais.
“It was a deep friendship. I did throw a baby shower for her son,” Sutton, 54, told Us Weekly during BravoCon 2025 in Las Vegas on Friday, November 14. “I did call her. I did text her a lot.”
Sutton told Us “that the decision was made by Garcelle” to end their friendship.
“I have friendships that are 50 years old, so I’ve never lost a friend like this,” she added. “It’s unusual for me.”
When asked if a door was open for a reconciliation between the estranged friends, Sutton played coy.
“I’m just focused on this season, and my family and my friends,” Sutton explained. “That’s where I am.”
Sutton said something similar about her friendship with Garcelle during the RHOBH panel on Friday. Sutton told the crowd that she and Garcelle have not spoken since they filmed the season 14 reunion earlier this year. (Garcelle announced her departure from the show in March after walking off the reunion set.)
“As far as I was concerned we were still friends and then she never talked to me again and blocked me on Instagram,” Sutton said. She further explained that her former friend’s season 15 absence has allowed her to get to know the rest of the women “so much better” and it feels like they “really bonded” in a different way.
Sutton discussed that comment with Us on Friday as well, revealing that her biggest relationship breakthroughs came with Erika Jayne and Bozoma Saint John.
“We’ve gotten to be friends,” Sutton said of Boz. “She’s so smart and very definitive in her decisions and her actions, and I respect that greatly.”
Sutton has experienced ups and downs with Erika on RHOBH, but things are “good” between them at the moment.
“People like to see us fight, I think,” she added. “You’re also gonna like to see us have fun.”
Overall, Sutton told Us the forthcoming 15th season — set to premiere on Thursday, December 4 — felt “different” for her than previous seasons of the show.
“[It was] more quiet, serene. I’m trying to listen and be non reactive,” Sutton continued. “I really wanted to get to know the girls better, and I wanted to show them a different side of myself.”
She added, “It was really fun to do and in a real, authentic way. So it was a nice season for me.”
While Sutton will not be the center of the drama this time around, she did weigh in on what fans can expect to see from Erika, Kyle Richards and Dorit Kemsley’s tiff.
“The fight is next level,” Sutton said, teasing the cast trip this season. “I left a day early to fly home to take my child — my baby child — to college, so I missed the tail end, but I saw the big fight. It’s gonna be worth sticking through the season to see the big, beautiful trip with the big fight. It’s a doozy.”
Despite the feuding, the trip is “beautiful,” Sutton added.
“It’s stunning,” she teased. “I think the viewers are going to love to see the beauty that Beverly Hills can bring, and everybody’s outfits, it’s like next level.”
