Demarcus Robinson will not miss Sunday’s game against the Saints after he was arrested for suspicion of DUI early Monday morning.

Rams coach Sean McVay told reporters on Wednesday that the team will “let the legal process take place” and said Robinson is “remorseful” over the situation, ESPN reported.

Robinson had been stopped by officers with the California Highway Patrol around 5:13 a.m. local time doing over 100 mph and police said in a press release that “officers observed objective signs and symptoms of alcohol impairment.”

The wide receiver met with McVay and the team front office on Monday afternoon and addressed his teammates in a team meeting.

McVay told reporters he felt it was something that he thought Robinson and the rest of the team would learn from and that his “bad decision” doesn’t “make him a bad person.”

“I did appreciate his ability to acknowledge it to the team while also not minimizing or undermining the severity of what could have been,” McVay said. “And I do trust that he’s going to learn from it and I think it’ll be a good learning opportunity for our old football team. And that’s how we move forward.”

Robinson had said he had not been contacted by the NFL and was not sure how long the legal process would take.

The incident occurred hours after the Eagles had defeated the Rams 37-20 on “Sunday Night Football.”

Robinson did have a touchdown in the third quarter in the loss on Sunday.

Robinson told reporters that he’s taking “accountability” for what transpired.

“I don’t want to bring that type of light or any type of negative energy towards the team,” Robinson said. “I just told him I sincerely apologize to him and the team and this whole organization for even putting myself and the organization in a predicament like that.”

The receiver has 26 catches for 384 yards and six touchdowns this season.
