Nick Viall has thoughts on Love Is Blind season 8 contestant Madison Errichiello.
Warning: This post contains spoilers from Love Is Blind season 8.
“Madison is triggering me,” Nick, 44, said on the Tuesday, February 18, episode of “The Viall Files” podcast. “It reminds me of every relationship I’ve ever had in my 20s, early 30s.”
Madison, 28, is part of the latest installment of the Netflix dating show in Minneapolis, which was filmed in spring 2024, and began pursuing a connection with Alex Brown and Mason Horacek. After watching the first six episodes that dropped on Friday, February 14, Nick suggested Madison is “very open about her trauma” — which she did not disclose.
“She’s like, ‘I’ve had a lot of s— happen to me. And like, I can’t tell you specifically what, because, you know, we’re on camera. But like, I hope you’re OK with knowing I’m f—ed up but I can’t tell you exactly how,’” Nick recalled. “Alex’s story line is — he’s a handsome guy, but he talks about how growing up he was the ugliest of ducklings, according to himself. … You really love this guy, you know. Now he’s a very sweet, handsome guy, but has a gentle, sweet face.”
Nick explained that he is “triggered” by Alex “falling in love with Madison” because Alex “kind of reminds me of when I was that age.” (After four seasons in Bachelor Nation, Nick ultimately tied the knot with Natalie Joy in April 2024. The pair share 12-month-old daughter River Rose.)
“Madison reminds me of, like, every girl I pursued when I was that age,” Nick continued. “It’s, like, the person who is just like, ‘I’ve done some work, so I’m self-aware, but I still have problems.’ She is selling this self-aware person.”
Back in the pods, Madison began feeling a stronger pull toward Alex, 29 — who began growing concerned about their differing attachment styles. Madison ultimately broke things off with Mason, 33, before Alex called it quits. However, Nick theorized that there could still be a chance for Madison and Alex to rekindle their romance.
“I think they are going to end up together, Alex and Madison, and she’s going to f— him up so bad,” Nick predicted.
Despite Madison, Alex and Mason leaving the pods without a plus one, five pairs did get engaged: Daniel Hasting and Taylor Haag, Monica Danús and Joey Leveille, Dave Bettenburg and Lauren O’Brien, Sara Carton and Ben Mezzenga, and Devin Buckley and Virginia Miller.
The first six episodes of Love Is Blind are streaming on Netflix. Episodes 7-9 will be available on February 21, and episodes 10-11 will debut on February 28.
