NFL Power Rankings for Week 10: We’ve seen this Bills movie before

News RoomBy News RoomNovember 4, 20251 ViewsNo Comments

Now, do it in January when it matters most.

On a weekend when so many of the NFL’s other top teams were upset, the Bills beat the Chiefs for the fifth straight regular season.

It would have been a statement victory if not for the fact that we’ve seen this movie before.

The Bills win the annual regular-season game. The Chiefs win the playoff rematch, eliminating the Bills four times in four meetings since 2020.

For now, the Bills again look like the NFL’s best team — even though technically they are in second place via tiebreaker in their own division.

Here are the rest of The Post’s NFL power rankings for Week 10:

1. Bills 6-2 (5)

Josh Allen accounted for three touchdowns, James Cook ran for 114 yards, and the defense sacked Patrick Mahomes three times and hit him 15 others in a 28-21 victory. Maxwell Hairston batted down a pass with 17 seconds remaining to seal the win so that a missed field goal didn’t matter. Allen completed a team single-game record 88.5 percent of his passes.

2. Colts 7-2 (1)

The glass slipper fell off of Daniel Jones, who reverted from his MVP-level form into his Giants form by throwing three interceptions and fumbling twice as the Colts turned the ball over six times in a 27-20 loss to the Steelers. Jonathan Taylor rushed for a season-low 45 yards, and the high-scoring Colts matched their season-low point total.

3. Buccaneers 6-2 (4)

The bye week was all about getting healthy, especially in a receiver corps missing Mike Evans and Chris Godwin and playing with a banged up Emeka Egbuka. Running back Bucky Irving and edge rusher Haason Reddick also were sidelined before the time off. Baker Mayfield (13 touchdowns, two interceptions) is 4-1 on the road and playing like a MVP.

4. Eagles 6-2 (6)

The Eagles addressed their biggest holes during the bye by trading for two cornerbacks — Michael Carter II (Jets) and Jaire Alexander (Ravens) — and edge rusher Jaelan Phillips (Dolphins). Saquon Barkley is only averaging 64.9 yards per game after his breakout season. Jalen Hurts catches a lot of flak for a quarterback with 15 touchdown passes and one interception through eight games.

5. Rams 6-2 (7)

Matthew Stafford threw for 281 yards and four touchdowns, including a pair to Davante Adams, in a 34-10 rout of the Saints. Kyren Williams rushed for 114 yards and a touchdown. Plus, the defense stifled Tyler Shough in his first career start. The only stain was Joshua Karty’s eighth missed kick (five field goals, three PATs) of the season.

6. Seahawks 6-2 (8)

What a statement by Seattle, which took advantage of a national-television spotlight to pummel the Commanders with 28 first-half points en route to a 38-14 victory. Sam Darnold threw four touchdown passes to three different weapons, including two to Tory Horton, before halftime. Two touchdowns came 11 seconds apart, with a special teams takeaway in between.

7. Patriots 7-2 (10)

Winners of six straight, the Patriots went scoreless over the final 21 minutes but managed not to blow all of a 14-point lead because of a late missed PAT by the Falcons in a 24-23 victory. Drake Maye threw two touchdown passes and, just as importantly, completed a 17-yard strike to convert a third-and-5 and run out the clock after the 2-minute warning.

8. Broncos 7-2 (11)

Wil Lutz drilled his second walk-off field goal in three weeks — a 34-yarder that broke a tie in an 18-15, come-from-behind victory against the Texans. In the fourth quarter, Bo Nix threw a 27-yard touchdown pass to R.J. Harvey, connected with Troy Franklin for the tying two-point conversion and ran for a 29-yard gain on the drive that sealed a sixth straight win.

9. Lions 5-3 (3)

The Lions looked rusty out of their bye, committing 10 penalties and allowing five sacks (both season highs) in a 27-24 loss to the Vikings. Jake Bates had a field goal blocked midway through the fourth quarter that loomed large when Jared Goff threw his second touchdown pass on the next possession. David Montgomery rushed for a touchdown but lost a fumble.

10. Packers 5-2-1 (2)

It was a post-Halloween haunt. The Packers missed a field goal, threw an interception and bypassed a chip-shot field goal for a turnover on downs — all in the second half of a 16-13 loss to the Panthers. The point-chasing began after Savion Huggins’ lost red-zone fumble in the first half. Couple this loss with one to the Browns and … yuck.

11. Jaguars 5-3 (12)

12. Chiefs 5-4 (9)

13. 49ers 6-3 (13)

14. Chargers 6-3 (14)

15. Steelers 5-3 (16)

16. Bears 5-3 (15)

17. Panthers 5-4 (19)

18. Vikings 4-4 (21)

19. Ravens 3-5 (23)

20. Cowboys 3-5-1 (17)

21. Texans 3-5 (18)

22. Cardinals 3-5 (26)

23. Falcons 3-5 (10)

24. Commanders 3-6 (22)

25. Bengals 3-6 (24)

26. Giants 2-7 (25)

Jaxson Dart passed for two touchdowns and ran for another but didn’t get much help on either side of the ball in a 34-24 loss to the 49ers. The Giants allowed 159 rushing yards as Christian McCaffrey (106 rushing plus 67 receiving) went off. Brian Burns’ 11th sack included a forced fumble, but Graham Gano missed the ensuing field goal try.

27. Raiders 2-6 (29)

28. Dolphins 2-7 (27)

29. Browns 2-5 (28)

30. Jets 1-7 (30)

The Jets had an extra week to soak in the glow of their first win after an 0-7 start. During the bye, they traded Carter to the Eagles for receiver John Metchie III. Whether they hold onto Quinnen Williams and Breece Hall through the trade deadline will be telling about head coach Aaron Glenn’s rebuild timeline.

31. Saints 1-8 (31)

32. Titans 1-8 (32)
