Just a few weeks after giving birth to her third child, Cardi B has enjoyed a wild night out for her 32nd birthday — but has now vowed to “never, ever drink again” after waking up feeling seriously worse for wear.
The rapper celebrated her big day at a private “Bardi in the City” themed night in New York, partying with friends and her sister, Hennessy — and even wore an outfit from her stripper days. But, just a few hours later, she seemed to be regretting her decisions, posting to her Instagram Stories that she was not feeling good. “I would never, ever drink again,” she wailed, still wearing her makeup and jewelry from the night before and rocking some classic morning-after-the-night-before bird’s nest hair. “Pray for me. Wait. I’m still drunk.”
Cardi also shared a screenshot of a text exchange with a friend in which she said she was “throwing up all the way to the afties” after doing shots. In fact, she probably wasn’t the only one feeling a little rough the next day, since she had apparently given free shots to the entire party.
The star looked a little more put-together in her Instagram post from before her big night. Wearing a tiny black outfit which showed off the results of returning to the gym just a few days after giving birth, Cardi explained that her “little thotty dress” had come from the strip club she worked at for four years — a last minute decision after the one she’d planned to wear was too small. “NOTHING was gonna stop this night!” she wrote. “I love the fact that they don’t see me like CARDI B… they still treat me like CAMILLA (Fun fact.. That was my stripper name).”
Since giving birth to her daughter on September 7 — her third child with her ex, rapper Offset; they also share daughter Kulture, 6, and son Wave, 3 — Cardi has been surprisingly busy for a mom of a newborn. As well as working out, she appeared at Paris Fashion Week less than three weeks after giving birth.
The star has been spending time with her family to celebrate her birthday too, though — on Friday (October 11), she showed off the cards that her kids had made her, along with a bouquet of flowers from her good friend, singer Lizzo who she joked that she should date.
Every mom knows that hangovers hit different when you have young kids, so let’s see if she follows through on that vow to ditch alcohol.
