A new era for the NBA begins tonight with the first-ever NBA on Prime broadcast. The inaugural matchup will feature the Boston Celtics and the New York Knicks in a rematch of last season’s Eastern Conference semifinals.
In a new 11-year deal with the NBA, Prime Video will exclusively broadcast 66 regular season NBA games this year, beginning with Celtics vs. Knicks, in addition to the quarterfinals, semifinals, and championship of the NBA Cup and the NBA Play-In tournament.
Tonight’s game marks the second game of the season for both teams. The Knicks won their season-opener, 119-111, against the Cleveland Cavaliers, while the Celtics lost to the Philadelphia 76ers in an incredibly close 117-116 game.
