The Yankees will know early Saturday who awaits them in the ALCS.

The ALDS Game 5 between the Tigers and hosting Guardians has been moved to 1:08 p.m. ET from its 8:08 p.m. ET start due to expected inclement weather, MLB announced Friday.

The matchup had originally been slated for 4:38 p.m. ET before being shifted after the Yankees eliminated the Royals on Thursday.

The Tigers are starting AL Cy Young Award favorite Tarik Skubal, while the Guardians have yet to announce their starter. Game 2 starter Matthew Boyd could return on regular rest.

MLB is taking the proactive route after the scheduling craziness that unfolded in the last week of the season when the final two games of the Mets-Braves series had to be moved back as Hurricane Helene impacted the area.

There’s a 35 percent chance of rain in Cleveland at 8 p.m. ET on Saturday, and that percentage bumps to 67 at 10 p.m., according to weather.com.

There is only a 15 percent chance of rain at 1 p.m. ET, though.

The league would rather not have to put the two teams at a further disadvantage for the ALCS, which begins Monday in The Bronx.

The Guardians forced this Game 5 by rallying in Game 4 to claim a 5-4 victory behind David Fry’s two-out, two-run homer in the seventh that gave them a 4-3 advantage.

The teams split the previous two games in Cleveland, with the Guardians claiming a 7-0 victory in Game 1 before the Tigers won, 3-0, in Game 2 on a three-run ninth-inning homer from Kerry Carpenter against elite closer Emmanuel Clase.

Skubal threw seven scoreless innings while scattering three hits and striking out eight in that game.

Boyd, the potential starter, tossed 4 2/3 scoreless innings while walking two and striking out five.

The Tigers aim to return to their first ALCS in 11 years, while the Guardians look to clinch their spot among the sport’s final four for the first time since their run to the World Series in 2016.

Detroit is favored to win Game 5 at FanDuel with Skubal getting the ball.
