Michigan baseball player Mitchell Voit was ripping it down the third base line, but not in the way he wants to be known.

After debuting a wild celebration Sunday that included sliding headfirst into third base and appearing to mimic the act of snorting cocaine, Voit has remorse for the now-viral clip.

“I would like to apologize for my actions on third base yesterday,” Voit posted on X. “I made an immature decision in the heat of the moment. The gesture I made does not reflect my character, the household I was raised in, or the block M that I represent in any kind of way. I take full responsibility for what I did, and I am truly sorry to all those who I have negatively impacted by doing this.”

The wild scene unfolded in the second inning after Voit hit a bases-clearing triple against USC.

He put his nose near the white baseline, before turning his head to the left and moving it in that direction and then lifting his head up in a violent reaction.

It didn’t take much to guess what the 20-year-old was appearing to imitate.

Voit went 3-for-3 in Sunday’s dominant 11-0 win over USC, was which was streamed on the B1G+ Network.

The team has not yet announced whether Voit will be punished for the crude gesture, and Michigan is back in action Tuesday against Western Michigan.

Voit, a converted pitcher turned second baseman, was born and raised in Wisconsin and is hitting .451 for Michigan with five home runs as an integral part of their offense.

His unranked Wolverines squad is 11-8 this season.
