Micah Parsons was in awe of the reception he got in his first game as a Packer.

Walking out of the tunnel for Sunday’s game against the Lions, which ended as a 27-13 win for Green Bay, Parsons said he had “chills” from the reaction from the fans.

Parsons was dealt in a shocking trade to the Packers from the Cowboys after contract talks dragged on and made headlines after Cowboys owner Jerry Jones took perceived shots at Parsons.

“I can’t lie, it gave me chills. This environment, the first time, how they embraced me, the fans. This was one-of-one,” Parsons told CBS Sports. “This was really just a blessing in disguise. When Jordan Love told me it’d be this nice, I could never have imagined it would be like this.”

Parsons returned the love he got with his performance against the Lions, beating right tackle Penei Sewell on several occasions and pressuring quarterback Jared Goff.

The new Packers star then sacked Goff in the fourth quarter, and the play even drew a reaction from former Cowboys teammate Trevon Diggs.

“This can’t be real. Wake me up from the dream,” Diggs wrote on X with a video of the play.

After the game, Parsons called the situation that played out in Dallas “super draining” and “super toxic.”

“It’s something that I don’t think no player should have to go through,” he told reporters on Sunday. “I think players’ fates should be decided earlier. The fact that I was traded a week before the season was really outrageous and rough. It’s something where I could’ve been with these guys getting better and better and we could’ve had probably even more dominant start.

He added: “These guys embraced me. They believe in my talents. They believed in me and I’m just gonna give these guys everything I have because I know what’s at stake and I know what they gave up for me to be here and I’mma do what it takes for us to win.”
