Megan Thee Stallion provided a rare glimpse of the 2025 Met Gala when she “snuck” her phone into the VIP event and recorded videos for Instagram.

The rapper, 30, uploaded the clips while attending the Monday, May 5, gala celebrating “Superfine: Tailoring Black Style.”

“Hottie Cam in thee MET GALA 👀😏,” Megan captioned a funny highlight reel of moments from inside The Metropolitan Museum of Art, where gala organizers including Vogue’s Anna Wintour discourage guests from using their phones and posting on social media.

“I snuck the phone inside: Cheese!” she said while mingling with Cynthia Erivo. In other footage, she samples caviar and cornbread appetizers with Angel Reese and Doechii, and catches up with Serena Williams, Angela Bassett and Michael Kors

Megan’s fans applauded the footage in the comments section of her post.

“Typical Aquarius breaking all the rules 😂😂😂👏🏾👏🏾,” wrote one fan, while another remarked, “Thank you for this forbidden footage sis 😂.”

Another fan joked: “Here before Anna make you delete this.”

Earlier that night, Megan arrived at the steps of the Met wearing a fabulous silver gown and white fur coat by Kors, 65, who posed alongside her on the red carpet. She wore her hair in a fanciful ponytail, accessorizing her look with diamond earrings and silver nails.

The Grammy-winning artist is no stranger to the Met Gala. She attended the event in 2022, sporting a gold Moschino gown with a wing motif, and was also on the list for the 2021 party, when she wore a pink strapless Coach confection.

Megan has fun with fashion and often takes bold risks, as when she hit the Vanity Fair Oscar Party earlier this year wearing a feathery emerald dress that exposed her breasts.

“Megan Thee Stallion, I love you. I’m so upset because God gave you a legitimate gift,” Sherri Shepherd complained on her daytime talk show in March. “You’re amazing with your lyrical rhymes and how smart you are. A lot of these celebrities say they don’t wanna be a role model, but here’s the thing: it comes with the territory. You can’t escape it.”

In Megan’s defense, there’s a nearly naked trend taking red carpets by storm, and she’s not the only celebrity daring to wear sexy ensembles. Phones might be forbidden at the Met Gala, but Wintour, 75, doesn’t seem to have an issue with the attention-getting bodysuits worn by K-pop star Lisa and Sabrina Carpenter, as well as Dua Lipa and Halle Berry’s see-through dresses.
