Lindsay Lohan’s 2-year-old son, Luai, is still getting to grips with his mom’s fame.

During an appearance on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon on Monday, July 28, Lohan, 39, shared that little Luai is starting to become more aware that his mom appears on television and in movies. However, he’s still a little confused.

When host Jimmy Fallon asked the actress if her son was “too young” to see his films, Lohan shared, “Actually, this morning, he was with my in-laws and my husband and I was doing Good Morning America. He was like, ‘Mommy! Come out! Mommy!’ He thought I was, like, stuck [in the TV].”

“So now I’m like, now that he’s getting older and more aware, I’m getting kinda scared. I don’t want him to get confused,” she added.

Lohan also revealed what film she would show her son from her glittering filmography. “I feel like maybe Herbie,” she said, referring to 2005’s Herbie: Fully Loaded. “Because it’s cars and fun.”

The Freakier Friday star welcomed Luai with her husband, Bader Shammas, in July 2023, just over a year after the couple tied the knot.

In a March 2024 appearance on The Drew Barrymore Show, Lohan shared that Luai had seen on her on screen in her Disney classic The Parent Trap, which made her super emotional.

“I started crying because I’m like, ‘He doesn’t even know that’s Mommy yet,’” she said. “I was like, ‘Do I turn it off or do I just …’ He was kind of just staring. Because maybe, my voice is still similar to how it was then. So I was like, ‘Maybe he knows, like, a little bit that it’s me,’ because it sounds like me. But it was a really magical moment. I took tons of pictures of it.”

The same month, Lohan said she wants to have more children with her financier husband.

“Yes, of course! I do. Yes,” Lohan said on Today With Hoda & Jenna. “I love having siblings. I feel so blessed to have other siblings to be able to hang with and talk to and relate with. I would love to have more. I want my son to have that same experience.”

The actress is next set to appear in Disney’s Freakier Friday, which reunites her with Jamie Lee Curtis in a sequel to 2003’s body-swap comedy, Freaky Friday.

Freakier Friday is in theaters on August 8.
