24 Coats We Want From the Recent Fashion Shows

The fall 2023 fashion shows finished up earlier this month, and after four cities and hundreds of collections, one thing was clear: There will be an abundance of long, statement-making coats available to buy … in six months or so.

Yes, that’s a long way away, and it may feel counterintuitive to think about new coats just when we’re on the cusp of putting our winter wardrobes into storage. But while these things are fresh in our minds, we’ve pulled two dozen we found particularly special: Burberry’s warm yellow trench, Proenza Schouler’s thick checkered tweed, Chloé’s striped stunner and, of course, a thick and shiny brown MaxMara, to name a few.

And if none of these are appealing, fear not: You can’t go wrong with a big black coat, which many designers offered up in a variety of fabrics.
