The fallout of the U.S. presidential election is weighing “heavy” on LeBron James’ “heart & mind.”

In an Instagram post shared Wednesday, hours after former President Donald Trump was declared the winner over Vice President Kamala Harris, the Lakers’ superstar posted a photo that featured him embracing daughter Zhuri, vowing to “protect” her “with everything I have and more!!”

“HEAVY ON MY HEART & MIND THIS AM MY PRINCESS 👸🏾 !!” James, 39, began.

“PROMISE TO PROTECT YOU WITH EVERYTHING I HAVE AND MORE!! WE DONT NEED THEIR HELP! 🤎🤎🤎🤎🤎🤎🤎.”

James, who shares 10-year-old Zhuri with wife Savannah, along with sons Bronny, 20, and Bryce, 17, endorsed Harris in the days leading up to the election.

The four-time NBA champion posted a video to his Instagram page on Oct. 31 that featured an array of clips of previous Trump speeches and civil rights protests before concluding with the message: “Hate Takes Us Back.”

“What are we even talking about here?? When I think about my kids and my family and how they will grow up, the choice is clear to me. VOTE KAMALA HARRIS!!!” James captioned the post.

James later expanded on his endorsement of Harris.

“So having a daughter, having a wife, mother, things of that nature that she believes in when it comes to women’s rights and when it comes to the future of my kids and where I see where our country should be, I feel like that endorsement is only right,” he told reporters Friday following a Lakers’ win over the Raptors.

James endorsed Harris and President Joe Biden during the 2020 election.

The 20-time NBA All-Star was one of several prominent sports personalities who backed Harris, including Warriors superstar Steph Curry and head coach Steve Kerr.

James wasn’t the only high-profile figure who reacted publicly to Wednesday’s results, with Cardi B and Stephen King among those speaking out on social media.
