Fox News Channel has announced that Lara Trump will host a new weekend primetime program titled “My View with Lara Trump,” which is set to premiere Feb. 22.

The hourlong show will air on Saturdays at 9 p.m. Eastern Time while “One Nation with Brian Kilmeade” will shift to Sundays from 10 p.m. to 11 p.m. Eastern Time, according to an announcement from Fox News Media CEO Suzanne Scott.

In making the announcement, Scott praised Trump as a “gifted communicator who knows how to connect with viewers,” adding that her experience as an entrepreneur, working mother and political figure gives her a unique understanding of the American public.

“Lara’s innate understanding of today’s political landscape will be a compelling addition to our weekend lineup,” Scott said.

Trump expressed excitement about her return to Fox News, emphasizing her desire to engage with the American people.

“I’m thrilled to bring my voice back to Fox News, talk directly with the American people, and highlight what makes this country so great,” the wife of President Donald Trump’s second eldest son Eric Trump said.

“As I cover the success of The Golden Age of America, I look forward to where this time will lead our country and where this opportunity will lead me in the future,” she said.

Lara Trump, who was mentioned as a possible candidate to replace Secretary of State Marco Rubio as US senator from Florida, is no stranger to the news media.

She began her media career as a story coordinator and producer for the television news program “Inside Edition” from 2012 to 2016.

She later hosted “Real News Update,” a webcast supporting Donald Trump’s presidency. In 2021, she joined Fox News as a contributor.

Lara Trump said her show aims to focus on restoring common sense across American society as the country transitions into what she describes as a “new era of practicality.”

The program will feature in-depth analysis, interviews with key thought leaders, and discussions on major news stories impacting American families.

Lara Trump’s hiring by Fox News follows her recent tenure as co-chair of the Republican National Committee, where she played a central role in helping to re-elect her father-in-law.

She previously served as a senior adviser to the Trump campaign in 2020 and as a surrogate during the 2016 election.

Beyond her political career, Trump has hosted “The Right View” since 2020, a web series featuring a panel of conservative women discussing sociopolitical issues.

Fox News Channel remains a dominant force in cable news, having been the most-watched network in basic cable for the past nine years and leading television news ratings for 23 consecutive years.

According to Nielsen Media Research, FNC attracts nearly 70% of the cable news audience.

A 2024 Pew Research Center study identified Fox News as the top news source for political coverage among Americans, while a 2023 New York Times/Siena College poll found it to be the leading single source of news for voters nationwide.

Fox News is owned by Fox Corp. — corporate sister of The Post’s parent company News Corp.
