Lady Gaga has postponed her Mayhem Ball concert in Miami due to vocal issues.

The singer, 39, was to perform at Miami’s Kaseya Center on Wednesday, September 3, at 8 p.m. ET. She announced the postponement via her Instagram Stories that night.

“Hi everyone I am really so so sorry,” she wrote, “but I need to postpone tonight’s show in Miami.”

Gaga explained, “During rehearsal last night and my vocal warmup tonight my voice was extremely strained and my Dr and my vocal coach have advised me not to go on because of the risk it poses. I want to be hardcore and just push through this for you but I don’t want to risk long term or permanent damage on my vocal cords.”

She continued: “There is a significant risk based on all our combined experience with a show like ours and as you know I sing live every night — and even though this was a hard and agonizing decision I would be more afraid of the long term implications on my voice.”

Gaga then asked her fans for forgiveness.

“I hope you can forgive me and accept my sincerest apologies for any disappointment. Let down. Inconvenience! I am so so sorry I tried so hard to avoid this I take serious care of myself to be able to put on this highly demanding show.”

She concluded her message with: “I love my fans so much. Respect you and hope you can accept my sincere regretful apology. We are trying to reschedule the show as quickly as possible.”

No further details were given.

Gaga launched The Mayhem Ball in July. The high-energy, high-drama concerts — her first since 2022’s Chromatica Ball — feature songs from her critically acclaimed latest album, Mayhem, along with many of her greatest hits.

For now, she’s scheduled to perform on Saturday, September 6, and Sunday, September 7, at Madison Square Garden in New York City before moving on to three dates in Toronto starting September 10.

“Did Chromatica, a dance project about mental health and healing, get a lot of people through the pandemic? Yes. Is it Gaga’s weakest album? Also yes,” Us Weekly wrote in a recent rave review of The Mayhem Ball, adding that “Gaga redeemed herself with the release of Mayhem, her best album since 2011’s Born This Way. And a couple months after that, she upped the ante with the launch of the Mayhem Ball, a statement piece of a stage show rivaled only by her career-making Monster Ball in 2010.”
