While clarifying that she doesn’t “actually hate” Lo Bosworth, Kristin Cavallari made it clear that her former Laguna Beach costar isn’t on her mind at all.
“I don’t actually hate Lo,” Cavallari, 38, said on the Tuesday, June 10, episode of her “Let’s Be Honest” podcast. “Lo is not even someone that I think about ever, really. I don’t hate Lauren [Conrad] or Lo.”
Cavallari further addressed where she stands with Bosworth, 38, saying, “I think the only reason I said that was because I have more of a toxic — I guess — past with Lo only because of the Birkin drama on The Hills that we’ve talked about.”
After having their past brought up on Cavallari’s E! series Honestly Cavallari: The Headline Tour, she is ready to put it to rest.
“I’m not going to get into it again. But if you know, you know. I just thought that was really s***y and really below the belt and speaks to her character,” Cavallari said. “That’s why I said what I said about Lo, but I don’t actually hate her.”
Cavallari said she doesn’t “actually care about” Bosworth “at all,” adding, “I’m not saying that in a bitchy mean way. I’m just saying she’s not someone who I think about unless I’m asked about her in an interview or something like that.”
Reality TV fans watched Cavallari and Bosworth on both Laguna Beach and The Hills. Laguna Beach, which premiered in 2004, focused on the personal lives of high schoolers from Orange County. While Cavallari was initially more at odds with Conrad, 39, in high school, a rift grew between her and Bosworth when MTV expanded the show with The Hills.
The drama resurfaced when a fan asked Cavallari to pick between spending time with Conrad and Bosworth.
“So, is it Lauren or is it Lo?” the fan asked, to which Cavallari replied, “I hate Lo more if you can believe it or not.”
Cavallari broke down the answer in an exclusive interview with Us Weekly. “I mean, I’m going to play that game. I’ll answer that question. You know what I mean?” Cavallari explained about her decision to name Bosworth. “I think everyone sort of knows my history with Lo and the whole Birkin bag drama, so I don’t think that’s any shock to people who really understand the history.”
Cavallari clarified, however, that she has “zero beef” with Bosworth. “That doesn’t even cross my mind,” she noted. “You know what I mean? But I’ll play the game and answer the question for fun.”
