Kings Court star Carlos Boozer has teammate Tyson Beckford’s back as they search for love on reality TV.

“I’ve known Tyson for 15 years. He’s been a friend of mine before the show,” Carlos, 43, exclusively shared with Us Weekly while supporting the Bravo reality series. “I didn’t even know he was on the show until we actually met up and started filming.”

Since July 13, viewers have had a front-row seat as Carlos, Tyson, 54, and WWE legend Thaddeus “Titus O’Neil” Bullard’s search for their queen amongst more than 20 single ladies.

As new episodes continue airing Sunday nights on Bravo, some fans have questioned Tyson’s methods for finding The One, including his decision to put a calendar on the house fridge so ladies can schedule a date with him.

“Tyson is a rare breed. He’s one of the most attractive, handsome guys that ever walked the face of the earth,” Carlos shared with Us. “I feel like his calendar was just, there were seven or eight girls that wanted to get to know Tyson and have real quality time with him to try to get to know if there was something there. I was just joking when I said, ‘Hey, man, maybe you should start a list.’ Next thing I knew, I went by the fridge and it was sitting there.”

While it rubbed some contestants the wrong way, Carlos reminds viewers that there are only 24 hours in a day and spending quality time with everyone is hard — especially when filming a reality show.

“He’s being open to give everyone an opportunity who wants to get to know him, to see if there is a connection,” the NBA star said. “I don’t necessarily think it was all bad. I think some of the women might have felt objectified. They’re also used to, in the real world, being chased. They’re not used to being the hunter.”

Carlos went on to praise all the contestants for being “beautiful” individuals who “bring incredible value” to the experience.

“They may not be our queen or who we left the show with, but they were all queens in their own right,” he said. “In normal and real life, they’re used to being the ones that are getting chased, and in this environment, they had to do the chasing. I think it kind of brought a little bit of organization, but it also offended some people.”

As Carlos tries to stay out of any drama, he’s already found some connections in the show’s initial episodes.

In fact, Florida entrepreneur Janaye and Florida architect Jennifer have caught the eyes of the Olympic athlete.

“I can’t let the cat out of the bag,” Carlos said with a laugh when asked what’s to come. “There may be a surprise coming out of left field, but there’s definitely some excitement happening. We only have a few episodes left, and there were some interesting connections towards the end of the filming. You’ll be delighted to see how it finishes.”

Although Carlos can’t kiss and tell and reveal his relationship status today, he’s happy he participated in the show hosted by Holly Robinson Peete and Rodney Peete.

“I just couldn’t have pictured a better experience,” he said. “For me, it honestly was one of the endings that I couldn’t determine. It wasn’t like I could sit here and say before filming the show that I expect X, Y and Z to happen. It was literally like, I just flowed into an incredible experience, and it ended the way I wanted it to end.”

Kings Court airs on Bravo Sundays at 9 p.m. ET. Stream old episodes anytime on Peacock.
