Julie Chrisley has been released from prison after receiving a presidential pardon.

“Julie has also been released from prison and is now on her way home to Nashville as well,” Julie’s lawyer said in a statement to Us Weekly on Wednesday, May 28.

Earlier that day, Us confirmed that Todd Chrisley was released from prison one day after being pardoned by President Donald Trump.

“Todd has been released from prison and is on his way home to Nashville,” Todd’s lawyer told Us in a statement noting that they were “awaiting word on Julie Chrisley” at the time.

Trump, 78, pardoned Todd, 56, and Julie, 52, on Tuesday, May 27. The pair were convicted of fraud in 2022.

“It’s a terrible thing, but it’s a great thing, because your parents are going to be free and clean,” Trump said in a phone call to the couple’s daughter, Savannah Chrisley. “I hope we can do it by tomorrow. I don’t know them, but give them my regards. Wish them a good life.”

After news broke of Todd and Julie’s pardon, Savannah expressed her excitement for her parents.

“For the past two and a half years, I’ve done everything in my power to fight for my parents’ freedom and bring them home,” Savannah said in a statement to Us. “This moment is the answer to countless prayers, and I am beyond grateful to President Trump for seeing the truth and restoring my family.”

In addition to thanking the Trump administration and her parent’s legal team, Savannah rejoiced in her family’s win.

“Today is a victory for our family, but the fight against wrongful convictions and injustice within our prison system is far from over,” her statement continued. “I will continue to use my voice and platform to advocate for those who do not have one. Family is everything to me, and I will never stop fighting for what is right.”

Todd and Julie’s legal woes began in 2019 after they were indicted on 12 counts of tax evasion, bank and wire fraud and conspiracy. The couple pleaded not guilty but were found guilty in June 2023. In November 2023, they were sentenced to a combined 19 years in prison with Todd serving 12 years and Julie receiving 7 years in addition to probation requirements. The Chrisley Knows Best stars’ sentences were lessened in 2024 after a court appeal.

While her parents were behind bars, Savannah was granted custody of her siblings Grayson, now 19, and Chloe, now 12. (Todd, who also shares son Chase with Julie, is also father to two older children from a previous marriage. His son Kyle is Chloe’s birth father.)
