How many of you recall the classic 1982 Chargers-Dolphins playoff game?

Some call it the “Epic in Miami.” It also has been dubbed the “Miracle That Died.” We call it the “Kellen Winslow Game,” because the Chargers tight end had to be helped off the field after an incredible 41-38 overtime win.

The most memorable play of that game is the “Hook and Lateral.” On the last play of the first half, from the Chargers 40-yard line, Dolphins QB Don Strock completed a pass to Duriel Harris, and Harris immediately lateraled the ball to Tony Nathan, who took it the final 25 yards for a touchdown to cut what at one point had been a 24-0 lead to 24-17.

Only … if you look up the scoring summary, it doesn’t reflect a 15-yard catch then a 25-yard run. It shows a 25-yard TD pass from Strock to Nathan.
