The Knicks’ blockbuster trade for Karl-Anthony Towns brings some bittersweet feelings for star point guard Jalen Brunson.

Brunson reflected Monday on the departures of All-Star Julius Randle and close friend Donte DiVincenzo, both of whom are going to the Timberwolves in the deal.

“That was definitely tough. Thankful that Julius welcomed me with open arms here. That news, it was crazy,” Brunson said during the Knicks’ media day. “I’m really thankful for them and their friendships and everything and what they brought to this team. Really thankful I got to get a relationship with Julius. The memories we made together was really fun.

“Donte, he was a groomsman in my wedding. That should tell you everything you need to know about our relationship. Love him to death.”

The Knicks are also sending DaQuan Jeffries and a lottery-protected first-round pick from the Pistons to Minnesota in the trade, which was not yet official as of Monday morning.

Brunson and Randle played two seasons together, while Brunson, DiVincenzo, Josh Hart and new Knick Mikal Bridges all played together at Villanova.
