Defensive end Jadeveon Clowney was arrested just days before signing a deal with the Cowboys.

Authorities of Rock Hill, S.C. — Clowney’s hometown — allege that the three-time Pro Bowler was attempting to park in an apartment parking lot that was not open to the public, WSOC reported Friday.

Clowney, 32, was arrested in York County for trespassing and failure to identify. Both charges are misdemeanors.

According to WSOC, Clowney said he was in the parking lot trying to visit his aunt, but authorities said he was not allowed to park there.

After reportedly getting into an argument with the police and refusing to show his ID, Clowney was arrested.

Clowney told the Cowboys’ official website on Friday that he wasn’t concerned about the arrest.

“Man, that’s been going on my whole life down there. It ain’t nothing new. Just move on from it. I’m here now,” Clowney said.

Clowney was drafted by the Texans with the No. 1 overall pick in the 2014 NFL Draft, and spent five seasons in Houston — where he made three consecutive Pro Bowls from 2016-18.

After his time with the Texans, Clowney had bounced around a few teams, most recently playing for the Panthers last year.

In 14 games played with Carolina, Clowney recorded 5.5 sacks, 46 tackles and nine tackles for loss.

The Cowboys picked up Clowney following their 40-37 Week 2 win over the Giants on Sunday to fill their pass-rushing void since dealing Micah Parsons to the Packers.

“He has been an outstanding player, and he’ll add some real depth,” Jones told reporters, according to ESPN. “And he’s very credible and he’ll help us. It’s the kind of thing that we will continue to do. It’s a lot of the reason we handle our roster the way that we have, so we can do these kinds of things.”

Since trading away Parsons in late August, Jones has continued to defend the deal, saying that it has improved Dallas’ chances at winning now, pointing to the success of trading Hershel Walker in 1989 — which ultimately helped set the Cowboys up for three Super Bowl titles in the 1990s.

“I see an allocation. I see more of an allocation here,” Jones said on 105.3 The Fan earlier this month. “As opposed to Herschel Walker, which was to basically get draft picks and was basically a recognition that we would compete on another day, this was not that. This was a very conscious trade to get three, four, five, six players for one.

“Which will be better off? The one player? Outstanding. He’s an outstanding player. But we should be able to get, as a matter of fact, we’ve got one on the field [Kenny Clark]. And of course, people say, ‘But he’s no Micah.’ Well, I’m not going to debate that at all because Micah is very, very special.

“But I’ll tell you this right now, by the time this happens, and as we look forward to Dak’s time, when we made his contract and we look forward, this was the best way to maximize our chance to get a Super Bowl for Dak [Prescott].”

Dallas (1-1) takes on the 0-2 Bears in Chicago on Sunday.
