NEW ORLEANS — If Bill Parcells wasn’t voted in on the first three tries, if Harry Carson was snubbed seven times, if Michael Strahan was rejected his first time, it shouldn’t have been a shock that Eli Manning will have to wait to take his rightful place in the Pro Football Hall of Fame.

Sometimes it is hard to argue that an anti-New York bias is at play. And there will be Giants fans railing about exactly that today.

Eli Manning belongs in the Hall of Fame.

But to be fair, he was no slam dunk.
