The flagship event of the PGA Tour begins today.
The Players Championship takes place every year about one month before the first PGA Tour Major of the year and features the biggest prize purse on tour — $25 million with $4.5 million reserved for the winner.
Rory McIlroy comes into this year’s Players Championship as the defending champion, winning his second title at TPC Sawgrass just one month before his historic 2025 Masters win.
In addition to McIlroy and 2023-2024 winner Scottie Scheffler, this year’s field includes Collin Morikawa, Xander Schauffele, Rickie Fowler and Jordan Spieth.
Here’s everything you need to know to tune in to this year’s Players Championship.
