The Las Vegas Raiders will open 2025 Preseason against the Seattle Seahawks.

Tonight’s game marks a return to Seattle for Raiders head coach Pete Carroll, who coached the Seahawks from 2010 to 2023 and led the team to its first Super Bowl win. Raiders quarterback Geno Smith is also a former Seahawk returning to the Emerald city following a March trade that sent him to Las Vegas.

It’s possible Smith starts for the Raiders tonight, as Carroll said “Everybody is live. Everybody is ready to go,” when asked about starters playing in tonight’s game.

On the Seahawks’ side, starter Sam Darnold will sit tonight’s game out; Jalen Milroe will be one to watch as he shares QB duties with former New York Giant Drew Lock.

The teams meet frequently in preseason; today’s game marks the 20th preseason match between the teams. The most recent was a 20-7 Raiders win in 2021.
