The New York Jets may have won their first game since Week 3 last week thanks in part to an incredible catch by Garrett Wilson, but their kicker saga has extended into this week, leaving things up in the air again heading into a Week 10 matchup with the Arizona Cardinals.

After holding a kicking competition ahead of Week 9, the Jets chose Riley Patterson to start with Greg Zuerlein on injured reserve; he made all three of his extra point attempts in the game but was released by the team on Friday. The Jets then signed Anders Carlson to the practice squad, so it’s between Carlson and Spencer Shrader to get the start today.

Today, they’ll face the 5-4 Arizona Cardinals, who also won their Week 9 game. The last time the Jets faced the Cardinals was over 4 years ago, in October 2020 — both teams looked very different then, but the Cardinals won that matchup 30-10.
