A powerful solar eclipse is on the rise, and some among us may feel it on every level.

The partial solar eclipse in Virgo arrives on September 21 at a karmic 29° and, in addition to a general energy of revelation, illumination and irrevocable change, this cosmic event can play out in and through our bodies.

“Virgo rules the gut, digestion, nervous system and hormonal rhythms. When the eclipse lands here, the body amplifies stress, routine shifts and cosmic signals. With the reproductive system often responding first,” Neda Farr, resident astrologer at Flirtini and founder of Starcrossed, told The Post.

A solar eclipse happens when the moon passes between the sun and the Earth, casting a shadow on our planet that either totally or partially blocks the sun’s light.

Farr said that irregular periods, emotional intensity and heightened sensitivity to birth control, supplements, or hormones are common under these conditions.

“You may also notice detox symptoms like acne, bloating or breast tenderness, and even physical cleansing like crying, shedding, or unexpected bleeding.”

She likens the eclipse to a “body whisperer,” illuminating where you may be out of alignment.

While all signs are at the mercy of this eclipse, a few will be more affected than others.

 Zodiac Signs Most Affected

  • Virgo: “You are the eclipse. Your womb may rebel if you’ve been ignoring rest.”
  • Pisces: “Emotional purging and hormonal shifts hit you on a cellular level.”
  • Gemini & Sagittarius: “Nervous system overload = skipped cycles, mood swings, anxiety.”
  • Cancer & Taurus: “Ruled by the Moon and Venus, you feel hormonal changes faster than most — protect your energy.”

Farr shared that simple rituals and conscious rest can help ease the body into and out of the tumultuous energy of eclipse season.

She recommends eschewing alcohol in favor of warm teas with mugwort, raspberry leaf, or ginger, practicing womb-clearing meditations or Yoni steaming and keeping a moon-cycle journal to track symptoms and moods.

In addition, repeating out loud affirmations like “I release control and listen to my body’s sacred rhythm” or “My cycle is a portal, not a punishment” can help us welcome and integrate the purifying, purposeful energy of this eclipse.

For Farr, a shift in cycles is evidence of the body attuning to a new, better frequency.

“The universe is saying: You can’t carry this old energy into your next chapter. If your period starts early, late, or right on the eclipse, it may not be ‘off.’ It may be divine timing.”
