Rep. Derrick Van Orden (R-Wis.) accused the media on Thursday of being “responsible” for the assassination of conservative activist Charlie Kirk.

“Every single one of you here, you’re at fault,” Van Orden said, as he pointed his finger at reporters on the steps of the US Capitol Building.

When a reporter tried to press the congressman on his accusation, Van Orden fired back: “Knock it off, knock it off.”

“You are responsible for that assassination yesterday,” the retired Navy SEAL continued. “You should be ashamed of yourself; it’s disgusting.”

Van Orden stormed off as reporters attempted to ask him questions.

“Get out of my face,” he told one journalist who tried following him into the building.

The fiery congressman, who once cursed out teenage Senate pages for resting in the Capitol rotunda, has also likened Democrats and the media to the violent paramilitary group that supported the Nazi Party in Germany during World War II.

“The left-wing media is the propaganda arm of the 21st century brown shirts that is the Democrat party,” Van Orden wrote on X Wednesday, in response to MSNBC President Rebecca Kutler apologizing for contributor Matthew Dowd’s “unacceptable” comments about Kirk’s assassination.

“The Gloves are Off and these horrible vultures claiming to be journalist must be held accountable,” he added.

Dowd has since been fired from the network.

Van Orden’s office did not immediately respond to The Post’s request for comment.

Kirk, 31, was shot and killed at Utah Valley University on Wednesday, while hosting the kickoff event for his “American Comeback Tour” of campus speaking engagements.

The killer of the influential founder of Turning Point USA remains at large.
