Gia Giudice isn’t worried about her mom and stepdad — despite what Bethenny Frankel has said.

Gia opened up about the pair’s ongoing legal woes in an episode of her iHeartRadio podcast “Casual Chaos” released on Sunday, March 30. “We have had a lot of positive moments this week and some negative moments. I’m sure you all have seen the news,” she said.

“Let’s start from the beginning. My mom has been the sole provider for my sisters and I since the minute my father [Joe Giudice] left for prison,” Gia continued. “The second my mom got home from jail, she has been working her ass off to make sure that my sisters and I live a stable life and that my family is financially stable.”

“My mom has everything under control, and there’s nothing to worry about,” she added.

Teresa Giudice was hit with approximately $3 million in tax liens by the IRS. Court documents allegedly indicate Teresa owes $303,889.20 while her husband, Luis Ruelas owes nearly $2.6 million.

Frankel, who was an original cast member on The Real Housewives of New York City, took to social media to discuss the news. “OMG no say this is not so,” Frankel captioned an Instagram reel. Frankel also called out the situation as similar to what Teresa and her first husband experienced after they filed for bankruptcy.

“I can not believe that Teresa is in another marriage with financial, legal issues,” Frankel said in the video. “I’ll have to pull when I tweeted ‘If Teresa Giudice does not sign a prenup I will jump through my phone.’”

“You’re watching the movie and you’re like ‘No! Do not open that closet!’ I feel terrible but like fool me once, you’re a fool. Fool me twice, I’m a fool,” she added. “Love is blind, [and] all these things but oh my God.”

Frankel also joked that she and Teresa were the worst pickers “in the history of pickers.” She added, “I still win cause I was 10 years on a two-year marriage but I didn’t go to the clink. I almost would have.”

Gia had plenty to say in response.

“Bethany Frankel, thank you so much for your sweet video. You are a mother with a daughter. I bet you wouldn’t like [it] if somebody was saying this about you,” Gia said. “I hope that $1,000 TikTok paycheck was really worth it. And thanks. But we’re doing perfectly fine over here.”

Teresa is no stranger to financial ups and downs. In 2009, she and her first husband Joe filed for bankruptcy after claiming they were in $11 million in debt. The pair were indicted on 39 counts five years later, including bankruptcy fraud, and Teresa served 11 months of a 15-month sentence. Joe served a 14-month sentence and was deported to Italy, where he still lives.
