Georgia football legend David Pollack revealed that his wife, Lindsey, is battling brain cancer.

“I do not share much of my personal life on social media but today is gonna be different,” Pollack posted on X on Monday. “If you are the praying type please lift up my wife Lindsey. She has brain cancer and surgery is Wednesday at Duke. So thankful to serve a loving God that meets us in our struggles!”

Pollack played three seasons at Georgia from 2002-04 and was an All-American each year — one of just two players in Bulldogs history, along with Herschel Walker, to earn All-American honors in three seasons.

In 2020, Pollack was inducted into the College Football Hall of Fame.

The Bengals drafted him in the first round in 2005, but he suffered a career-ending neck injury during his second season.

Pollack, 42, was a popular college football analyst on ESPN from 2013-23.

Much of the football community sent him their best wishes.

“We will be steadfast in prayer,” Rece Davis wrote. “So many people love you, Lindsey and your entire family. Psalm 130:2”

“Prayers for Lindsey and the entire Pollack family,” Kirk Herbstreit added.

Davis and Herbstreit worked closely with Pollack on ESPN’s “College GameDay” show.

“Definitely lifting her up brother!! Praying for steady hands, and a full recovery,” Ryan Clark said. “Blessings DP.”

“All my positive vibes and prayers brother,” Pat McAfee posted.

Pollack now hosts a podcast called “Family Goals Pod.”

He and Lindsey run The Pollack Foundation, which aims to “positively impact communities through empowering families in Athens and the Greater Atlanta area by providing for basic needs and opportunities to flourish.”
